  I've been to this restaurant many times and it's usually great with really friendly staff. My last visit wasn't great. One of my guests was brought out a really thick and unevenly cut Tbone... It was so thick that it was totally raw on the inside... So much so that it was cold. Given it was a special occasion and we were in a hurry it was frustrating (no time to remake the order).
  
  In general everything was undercooked that night. It's not been the norm, but if it happens again I really wont be back.

  Cattlemens is hands down the best steakhouse. The atmosphere is perfect, the wood paneling, the fireplace, the quirky paintings, all form the perfect stereotype of the Old West. I never have a problem with the service. We often go with large parties and though it's a bit of a wait sometimes, it's worth it!
  
  The steaks are To Die For. If you've never had a dry-aged steak, you don't know WHAT you're missing. Dry aging absolutely transforms the meat; this isn't anything like what you can make at home. The table service is awesome; the sourdough bread is great and never ending, the ranch beans are great and never ending, the baked potatoes are huge, and they even have great iced tea! Who has "great iced tea"??
  
  It's a bit pricey, but if you look at the cost of a great steak, and if you're the kind of person who loves to gorge themselves on bread, meat, and beans, it's well worth the trip. Every time I come back to California, we HAVE to stop at a Cattlemens.
